It’s not secret that valentines day is stressful. Don’t get me wrong, I love splurging on a good date night, but honestly going out on Valentine’s Day can be tough to do. Date nights at home can be simple and yet, a really intimate and special way to celebrate. Whether you’ll be spending Valentines Day with your boo or celebrating Galantines day with the girls, I wanted to share a few fun ways to celebrate at home this Valentines Day.
Hello Fresh Valentines Box
One of the highlights of my week is getting my Hello Fresh box and they’re doing a delicious 3-course valentines day meal that’s more affordable than dinning out! I ordered it a couple years ago and it was the perfect at home date night, it came complete with everything you need! Making dinner together is one of my fave things to do with my boyfriend, so I’m super excited to bring the culinary experience of a multi-course meal in a restaurant, to at-home! Goldbelly also has some great options if you’re craving something in particular that can’t be found near you, like NY bagels, or authentic key lime pie!
Fondue Party
The perfect casual at home date night or winter get together with friends is best spent around a fondue pot. If you need some ideas for recipes, check out some great ones from The Spruce.
At-Home Spa
With a few candles, massage oil and some facial masks (yes, fellas can get behind good skin care too), you can create a night of pampering with an at home spa. This curated box is perfect for supporting small, and, Naples Soap has so many more cute gift boxes that include vday essentials like bath bombs, body oil and candles!
S’More’s Night
If you’re counting down the days till summer, pick up some chocolate and marshmallows and channel your inner child with an indoor s’mores station. If you have a gas range, you can toast marshmallows over your stove. Otherwise, bake a sheet of s’mores and enjoy over Netflix and wine.
Make a Valentines Day Breakfast
Breakfast in bed might be cliche, but there’s a reason its still around. Wake up before your Valentine and surprise them with heart shaped waffles or french toast in bed. Who doesn’t love a date that doesn’t require getting out of bed?
Host a Board game Party
Pull out your favorite boardgames (think games made for two- Scrabble, spouseology, chess, or card games) and challenge your partner to a duel, or have your friends bring over their favorite games and have a game night playing everyones fave.
Taco Night
Break the routine and plan an adventurous and interactive dinner this Valentine’s Day with a nacho bar. It’s a great way to bond with your boo and break from the traditional. This make your own tortilla maker is perfect if you want to start from scratch! If nachos aren’t your thing, try a build-your-own pizza station or a mashed potato bar. Interactive dinners will make Valentine’s Day feel special and can become a new tradition.
